Island pictures, old and new, from February in the  San Juan Islands.

Last month we had some snow, but now nurseries are selling primroses and the seed catalogs are coming in the mail.   These two photos were taken on February 3, on a short trip to Orcas Island from San Juan in the afternoon. It's convenient now to visit Orcas for dinner on Fridays, with the ferry schedule.  People without coats and wearing sunglasses were enjoying our fine Friday Harbor weather.

 The pictures below are older, showing February last year.  Some typical island activities during the month of February: swim lessons at indoor pools on the island, the Father and Daughter dance, and fishing derbies.  Below are last year's proud second place winners of a derby on Orcas Island and the island rec baby classes on San Juan.
